Adi Kailash, the Abode of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Adi Kailash holds a significant place among the Panch Kailash in Hindu Mythology. OM Parvat and Adi Kailash are revered as profoundly sacred in Hinduism. A mere glimpse of them can enlighten and purify one's inner being. It is believed that the cosmic energy present here has the power to transform an individual. This is a land of tranquility and serenity. The demon king Ravana meditated here and was granted by Almighty Shiva with the strength of 20 arms and the wisdom of 10 heads.

The name "Adi Kailash" is derived from the Sanskrit words "Adi," meaning ancient, and "Kailash," referring to the legendary abode of Lord Shiva in the Himalayas. Adi Kailash is considered to be a sacred place of pilgrimage, drawing devotees and spiritual seekers from far and wide.

The mountain is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, with its snow-capped peaks, pristine lakes, and lush alpine meadows. It is surrounded by a serene and tranquil atmosphere that is said to be conducive to spiritual practices such as meditation and introspection.

According to Hindu mythology, Adi Kailash is associated with numerous legends and stories. It is believed that Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati, reside here in a state of eternal meditation. The mountain is also said to be the place where the demon king Ravana performed intense penance to please Lord Shiva, who granted him great powers as a boon. Adi Kailash is not only a place of religious significance but also a haven for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Its pristine environment and unique cultural heritage make it a truly remarkable destination for those seeking spiritual enrichment and natural beauty in the heart of the Himalayas.

Daywise Itinerary of Adi Kailash Om Pravat

Upon arrival from the railway station, the journey begins with a visit to Bhimtal, followed by the Neem Kiroli Baba temple at Kanchi Dham and Goluji Temple. After exploring these sites, the journey continues towards Pithoragarh. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel with a traditional welcome drink. The evening is for rest and acclimatization on the first day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Today, we depart for Dharchula early in the morning. Upon reaching Dharchula, we complete the paperwork for the Inner Line Permit, which is required as we will be close to the international border with Nepal. Dinner and overnight stay at a basic hotel with washroom facilities available.

After breakfast this morning, we will proceed to Nabi, a stunningly beautiful village. Along the way, we will visit picturesque villages like Chialekh, Garbyang, Gunji, and Napalchu. Nabi serves as the base camp for Adi Kailash, offering an authentic experience of Himalayan culture and spiritual significance. Overnight accommodation will be provided in a homestay with shared washroom facilities in Nabi Village.

In the early morning, embark on a journey to Om Parvat, which takes approximately 2 hours by vehicle. Here, you will witness a natural wonder: snow adorning the mountain in the shape of the sacred symbol “Om.” After paying homage at Om Parvat, take some time to relax, meditate, and immerse yourself in the blessings of Shiva. This day is dedicated to seeking the presence of Shiva. If permitted, visit Kalapani before returning to our base in Nabi village for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from Dharchula and proceed towards Darma Valley. Spend the night at Daatu village.

Following breakfast in the morning, we will journey back to Dharchula. The evening will be free for visiting Nepal and shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Dharchula.

Following breakfast, commence your journey from Dharchula to Darma Valley, enjoying the scenic drive. Upon arrival, settle in for the night at Daatu village, where you can experience the tranquility of the surroundings.

In the morning, after breakfast, begin your trek towards the Panchachuli Glacier base, which is a 4-kilometer track. Enjoy the panoramic views before returning to Daatu Village. Spend the night at a homestay.

Following breakfast, commence the journey back to Dharchula, where you will spend the night at a hotel.

Following breakfast, embark on a drive to Patal Bhuvneshwar, where you will visit the site. Check into the Ashram for an overnight stay in Patal Bhuvneshwar.

After enjoying breakfast, proceed with a drive to Kathgodam, where you will be dropped off at the railway station.
